MF dealers in Denmark have really got behind the MF 8400 Series - 2005 Tractor of the Year. Each dealer is running a demonstration unit and taking it to customers who have never had an MF tractor before.
One such customer wanted to try an MF 8480 out on his 12 furrow plough and was immediately impressed with the low fuel consumption and the Dyna VT transmission. The "supervisor" (which controls transmission speed automatically in relation to engine speed) worked extremely well on the sloping ground.
A forward speed of 8 - 9 KPH was easily maintained in the reasonable soil conditions on the farm.
The demonstration was soon followed up by an order and a John Deere traded in.
